Great Website for Allergy Sufferers

April 5th, 2014

Spring has finally arrived and flowers are starting to bloom.  This means allergy season is starting!  A great website to bookmark on your computer is www.pollen.com.  This free website allows you to click on your state, enter your zip code, and find out what the pollen forecast is for the next few days.  This is useful information to help you prepare for your day outdoors.  When the pollen count is high, be sure to take an antihistamine that morning and keep the windows closed.  You may also want to limit your time outdoors.

The webpage is also helpful to identify what pollens are most predominant in your area.  For example, on the website today maple trees are releasing most of the pollen in the air.  If you notice that your nose is running or eyes are itchy today, you may be allergic to maple trees.  In the future, you may want to think twice about buying maple trees when you are doing landscaping.

This is one webpage that may keep you from sneezing!
